Bought this cheap at an estate sale. Wondering what it is, thought I'd ask the resident experts.

>>34032343

Indian close quarter combat weapon
maybe wurtz steel
keep it,it's fancy
RAJPUT in origin google it
Looks like a sword to me, boss
>>34031644
very likely this. the chances of you socring some historical ornate knife for $20 is very slim. the chances of you buying some mass produced copy are very high.
>>34033866
No, they likely did, and that's why they charged $20.
Still, at least you didn't get ripped too bad. Take it to a pawn shop and hock it off for $50, tell em you paid $200

The man who died owned a lot of other authentic and, from what I saw, very expensive antiques. In example a few originals busts worth around $10,000 each.

can you literally not see how fucking crooked all the embellishments are?
a sword is a work of art, if it was authentic everything would be perfect.

i wont say its impossible. if you feel strongly about it, i would try contacting someone for a professional evaluation. maybe try a university, they might have someone there versed in middle eastern artifacts
