sup /k/ europoor here.
I'm about to get my handgun license, and for my first gun I want a HK in .45 (because of weird gun laws, I need to get a .45 first)
My choices are:
USP TACTICAL
HK45 TACTICAL
MK23
I want the threaded barrel so I can shoot it outside with a suppressor without bothering the neighbors to much.

The MK23 is my favorite, just because how cool it is. But is the extra price worth it? I can get the HK45 much cheaper, and its a newer design. And how is the USP compared to them?

Price isn't really an issue, since it gonna be expensive no matter what. Its only going to be used on a range, and competition in the pistol club.
>>
>>34018018
if price isnt an issue then why not get a mk23? It seems to be what you want anyway
>>
>>34018082
Well yeah, but I can get a lot of ammo for the difference if I get the cheaper one.

I'll add that I've only shot the USP, and it was pretty nice.

Get the mark23.
>>
I have a USP and love it but it is a duty gun. Since you are European and can't carry and will just be shooting competition and club get the MK23 if it's not too big for your hands. Really the only role MK23s play now is target guns with a cool tacticool history. Great conversation piece.
>>
>>34018018
USP. 45T is basically Mk23 lite
HK45 is nice but not as nice as the USP and if you don't have big hands, the grooves arent that great. Less capacity as well.
>>
The USP45 Tactical comes with HK's target trigger. I don't believe that there are target trigger options for either the HK45 or the Mark 23. It's not like those other guns have bad triggers, though, so as long as you're comfortable with what you're buying, just flip a few coins and get whichever gun you want. They are all good options.

Good choice OP
>>
>>34018018
mark 23, no question.
>>
>>34018018
what country requires you to get 45 as a first gun ?
>>
>>34018449
Norway
You don't HAVE to get a .45 first. But if you get a 9mm as your first gun, you won't be able to get a .45 later. Because of how calibers are classified. If you get a 9 first, you'll have to sell it, get a .45 and then buy a 9.
It's fucking stupid, but at least you can get a handgun without to much trouble.

You can get pretty much what you want up to .454, but there is a limit to how many weapons you can own of each caliber.
>>
>>34018657
fucking europe

everybody is a fucking dick about everything
>>
>>34018674
Yep, we're not even a member of the EU. But still have to follow their retarded weapon laws.
>>
>>34018707
well in this case it isn't the EU's fault but your own government's
>>
>>34018764
All our politicians want nice jobs in the EU when their term is up. They dance to their pipe like rats.
>>
>>34018277
I've shot both, the mark 23 trigger is WAY better than the USP even with match upgrade.

MK23 its is then. Now I just gotta fill out the paper work and wait..
>>
>>34018841
You're gonna love the mark 23, they have mechanical accuracy that beats out production 1911s and rivals some of the higher end ones like dan wesson.
They are real tack drivers, but also easy to maintain and very reliable.
>>
>>34018813
No, it isn't. If you got a USP with a bad trigger, it probably just wasn't as broken in as the Mark 23 you shot. Both guns can have rough triggers out of the box, but they will break in nicely.

Since you added on the "even with match upgrade" as an afterthought (even though it was my main point), I am fairly certain that you have not actually tried a match USP trigger.
>>
>>34019054
>they have mechanical accuracy that beats out production 1911s and rivals some of the higher end ones like dan wesson.
>They are real tack drivers

Wrong and misleading. Neither you nor the OP are a good enough shot to notice a difference in accuracy from "mechanical tolerances" between two standard handgun designs. And even if you were, where is it going to matter? Oh boy, some handgun lets you shoot 3" groups at 50 yards from bench rest while the other handgun only lets you shoot 3.5" groups at 50 yards from a bench rest. As if that makes any difference at the distances that handguns are ever used at or using the skill set you can bring to bear off hand.

Good taste Norway,
Get the Mk23 if you dont mind putting down the extra cash.
>>
>>34019136
This.

Unless you're putting your gun in a vice grip you wont notice a difference.
>>
>>34019100
It was a USP tactical and the mark 23 had a much better single action pull.
My USP 45 is older than you are boy and is plenty broken in, the mark 23 I shot still had a better single action pull.
Now go play some vidya gaemz or whatever it is you kids do on summer break.

You get bored of the slam fire thread already?

You're talking about the SINGLE ACTION pull? Wow, you're even more off base than I thought.
>My USP 45
>not "my USP45 tactical"
>not "my USP with target trigger installed"
My entire point went right over your head because you couldn't take your ego out of your opinion.

>>34019437
I have no idea what you're talking about.

Look at the gun. It's obvious airsoft.
>>
>>34019508
Jesus Christ what are you even trying to say. The USP45Ts have match triggers from the factory.
>>
>>34019570
Why ask the question if you already knew the answer?
>>
>>34019508
You think I am going to be civil to some autistic punk like you calling me a liar?
Ive pulled the trigger on a couple different display model usp tacticals, no I don't own a usp tactical, my USP is a standard 45 and so what? I still know the qualities of the tactical model trigger and there's hardly a difference between it and a standard. Also, I know that the trigger isnt as good as the mark 23 I've shot many times that is owned by a friend of mine.
Hk claims the tactical models have the match trigger, well if it does it still isn't as good as the mark 23, because I have felt them both, more than once.
There's claims that the super special sear spring isnt in the tactical models and that it makes a difference and I'll concede that it is a possibility but my experience is that the USP does not have a better trigger than the mark 23, not even close.
But it's much easier to call people liars on the internet when we are all anonymous isn't it?
>>
If you can afford the Meme23 get it.

Its basically the best handgun ever produced
>>
>>34019591
Calm down. I didn't call you a liar. I called you ignorant and controlled by your emotions. Which you just proved again.

Now I'm going to call you stupid because you are deliberately ignoring the fact that the trigger on brand new HKs isn't going to feel the same as the trigger on a broken in HK, which I already pointed out. And also for the fact that even with all of your huffing and puffing, you still admit that you haven't compared them side by side or given any concrete details to illustrate your opinion.

I've compared them side by side. Double action pulls vary for all of these guns when new, but you can't sit there and say that the Mark 23's trigger is lighter, crisper or has less overtravel than a USP target trigger.
>>
>>34019643
Well you've made good points. If I have a chance to compare a new USP with match trigger (the expert or elite I think has the real match upgrade rather than the tactical's *supposedly* partial I just don't remember which one) I'll try and compare to a new mark 23, to get a new vs new comparison, match vs 23.
Luckily one of the LGS's in my area stocks a fair amount of HKs and almost always has a mark 23 believe it or not.
I should apologize as well, I have been having a very bad weekend and indeed have become emotionally hijacked.
>>
>>34018018
The USP isn't xboxhueg and a fucking brick like the mark23. Don't listen to these morons. Also, the USP is one of few firearms that is built able to take .45 super straight from the factory.
