There's a lot more options than that, CZ-75 and glock aren't really comparable outside of caliber and just being "pistols." Each one is very different, one's a full metal frame, one's striker fired.

CZ75 is better for target shooting. Heavier, all steel, lower bore axis, nice DA/SA trigger (for target shooting just use SA, but practice the DA/SA transition for home defense)
If you wanted to carry as well, glock is a better option

Glocks have piss poor triggers. If you want it for target shooting, you are going to get frustrated.

Just get a 22 caliber target gun. The ammo is cheap enough that you'll actually be able to enjoy it instead of just keeping it in your closet.

It is though. It doesn't mean it's always the right answer, but the vast majority of shooters needs would be met by a G19 or three.
This obviously doesn't account for simply wanting something else; but it's just that- a want. There's nothing wrong with that. But for someone looking to get their first handgun, that want wouldn't be based on anything but anecdotal evidence until they've shot multiple other handguns.
