sorry i can't but here's a bump
Didnt get pics of them but in the pockets there was a letter with 1969 date on it and a plane ticket with 1972 on it

Old enlisted Specialist 5 Army Greens. Looks like he was in the Combat Engineer branch. 16th Engineer BN from the RUI. He also sucked at shooting and never did anything worth doing.

this, also, he didn't do shit because all he has is a National Defense Medal, sowith the Spec5 rank we can assume he served during the Vietnam war, but never deployed
based on the unit history, he was part of the 16th Eng BN prior to 1971. After 71 the unit was moved to Germany, if he had served with them in Germany, there would be an overseas ribbon on the uniform.

Some awards could have been removed from the uniform, especially if worth enough to be sold on their own

>Some awards could have been removed from the uniform, especially if worth enough to be sold on their own
no, if he had multiple awards they would have all been on the same rack
>especially if worth enough to be sold on their own
lol, no
>>34017536
>if he had multiple awards they would have all been on the same rack
and what prevents awards being removed?
heck, maybe this ribbon was put there at random because the original ones were removed long time ago

From the looks of this ribbon it looks like it's the individual kind. I am not 100% sure but I think back in the 60s they were like that, no metal bars or anything. So quite easy to add or remove other ribbons.
OP should check if there's visible pin holes around

>put there at random
the National Defense Medal is a pretty specific award and would fit with the time period and rank. It's not like there is an OIF campaign ribbon on the uniform of a Spec5
>and what prevents awards being removed?
you don't know how "ribbon racks" work do you? Individual ribbons are not pinned onto the uniform, that would look like shit. they are placed onto pic related. That way the rack doesn't end up looking like ass.

>>34017979 has a point, not murrican but I've seen ribbons from the 40s from germany stitched together for example
would need to check regulations for US ribbons in 60-70s
