>almost every modern bullpup has some complex ejection mechanism because muh ambidextrous
>Ian's new L85A2/3 video shows that a large brass deflecting charging handle does the same shit
Why not just put this on every bullpup instead?
>>
A casual observer would note that the charging handle comes far back enough smack a left handed shooter in the face. I don't know if the face bones would stop the bolt from cycling back far enough to function correctly but it would be bad for teeth.
>>
>>34016420
Well then make the charging handle non reciprocating, and just mount the deflector to the reciever.
>>
>>34016438

Most other bullpups already do that by placing the non-reciprocating charging handle somewhere else on the rifle.
>>
>>34016456
But so many have useless forward ejection mechanisms too.
>>
>>34016386
Because then it isn't ambi
>>
>>34016477
Tavor is just a little tab. Aug tab.

If you are really anal you can get little plastic blades that clip onto the gun to deflect to the 1-2o clock area instead of 3
>>
>>34016438
you might as well design a new rifle at that point
>>
>>34016386

Shooting a L85 left handed with proper eye relief would BREAK YOUR JAW thanks to your "large brass deflecting charging handle".

>>34016438
>Well then make the charging handle non reciprocating, and just mount the deflector to the reciever.

Or just use the MDR's ejection mechanism?
Or the F2000s?

Both are better than a stupid deflector.
>>
>>34016420
Don't think the British are particularly worried about teeth

A less causal observer would realize that the British train all soldiers to shoot right handed.
>>
>>34016736
Useless in that a chunk of plastic stuck to the side can do the same thing.

So what's the verdict on the RDB?
It's been a while since it came out, I'm assuming it's flaws have been found out by now?
>>
>>34017321
It's a Kel Tec, so it's going to be cheaply made but mostly functional, and almost impossible to find.

KelTec solved this.

downward ejection behind the maazine.

keltec is said to be working on a dust cover for the ejection port.

This.

>let's dump a load of shit on this gun here
>hurrhurr looks like the AK loses da mud test, not so reliable now is it?!
The whole point of the fabled "AK reliability" is that the problems are easy to fix even in pitch black with your limp dick in the other hand because of the simplicity of the design, not that it's the perfect 100% fail proof nectar of gods. Why the fuck can't burgers represent the firearm or the argument fairly?
>>
>>34017638
it's just called a mud test

what you take away from it is a personal choice, one test isn't definitive of the gun as a whole
>>
>>34016386
Little disappointed with Ian's shooting method.

His stance was trash and weak, and he closed his eyes when firing. Dude just knows stuff about guns, rather than actually using them.

figures roleplayers on /k/ would love him

I can't say for the MDR, but the F2000 is a jam-o-matic factory, and nothing else.
>>34016703
>because RDB did it right lmao
what happens when you have to clear a nasty malfunction ? Broken case, failure to extract, double feed ?
>>34017638
>The whole point of the fabled "AK reliability" is that the problems are easy to fix even in pitch black with your limp dick in the other hand because of the simplicity of the design
Someone please post the video of a brit fighting alongside the kurds in Syria being pinned for minutes in the middle of a fight trying to clear a failure to extract from his "muh easy to fix" AK with an unfired bullet stuck in the chamber.
>>
>>34016386
Why don't they just make it downward ejecting like the master race p90?

Know whats easier than trying to remove mud obstructions from your bore/bolt/receiver in the pitch black?

Not having it get in there in the first place

Not him, but mine chokes every so often.
>HURR JUST TURN UP DA GAS TO DOMESTIC ABUSE SETTINGS
That's not the problem.

I've put thousands of rounds through mine and the only issues I ever had were with blanks when I was testing how the ejection worked shooting straight up. And that's obviously ammo related.

So are we just gonna ignore all the matches he goes to? He's already said Karl is the really experienced shooter. Not being a great shooter doesn't mean hes terrible
>>
>>34017734
>figures roleplayers on /k/ would love him
No.
Roleplayers from /k/ would cut Ian's ponytail and attach it to the end of a buttplug then have it put on auction so they could have a chance to buy the sextoy and play with it while /k/rossdressing.
That's what they would love.
>>
>>34017555
No but he perfected it.
>>
>>34017638
Except it's not. The meme until the InRange mud test was that an AK will run forever no matter what happens to it or gets in it. Btw an AR is literally as easy to break down to remove debris from.
>>
>leave thread for a few hours
>come back
>Ian shit posting and mud tests.

really not surprised at this point anymore.
>>
>>34018866
AR has less open space inside the receiver, compared to an AK.

you can take the dust cover off an AK to clear it out and still have a functioning rifle. while an AR has to be disabled to clean.
>>
>>34020094
If the gun is so fouled that it doesn't work what does it matter if you have to take the BCG out or not? Also, top fucking kek if you think that an AK that has enough shit in it to make it stop working is going to be cleaned up enough to work without taking it apart.

Not hard at all concidering this has been fixed on many bullpups like the AUG,Tavor, and fs2000 and many other.

L85a1 is a joke same with the a2 but at least its a little most polished.

If either came to the states for a reasonable price I would nab one same with famas just to shit post.

Open forums are for people with little to zero experience to comment or say something dumb.

I kinda want flags to be added just so I know when to ignore a post or thread. The chicom/vatnik stronk shit would go away along with no guns bongs and other countries would be easily filtered.

But this would piss people off .

They are more complex and expensive than a small chunk of plastic, while they appear to do the exact same thing.
>>
>>34022704
>If either came to the states for a reasonable price I would nab one same with famas just to shit post.
Every Famas F1 withdrawn from service goes to the chipping machine then the oven and nowhere else.
Not that it would be impossible to transfer some, but firstly : they're mostly in a pretty bad shape, and secondly : you would have to remanufacture the dedicated semi automatic select fire/safety part seen on the Mas 223 to render them export-ready in the first place. Not that it would be particularly hard to do though.
Fun fact : the Famas G2 is also going to retire from the front units of the french navy, also replaced by the HK416 F just like in the army. However considering the recent shitfest about deactivated guns in Europe, it seems unlikely you'll be able to find one either.
It's sad though, it would be a good way to make some money.

The FS2000 hit the market a decade ago and 5.56 isn't even $400 for 1000 rounds

Okay so OP you are complaining about bullpups having complicated methods of ejection to facilitate left handed firing and suggest to rather use the L85A2 ejection style when it is absolutely impossible to shoot left handed with the L85A2.

Yeah ok sure thing.
