Hey /k/, I got this AK bayonet at a flea market for $50. I'm gonna dump some pictures, and I'd love some help identifying it if I'm wrong on thinking it's a Romanian bayonet. The handle seems to be made of Bakelite, it's as full as a dick, and the tip seems off kilter, I can't tell if that's on purpose. The serial number, a bit faded, seems to say " AH 3332 " and someone has carved an M in the handle. Also on the rubber insulation thing on the sheath is written "SM" in faded sharpie. There seems to be another stamp on the opposite side in the same place as the serial number but it amounts to an awkward triangle and an upside down one probably from age.

>>34014853
someone please help me I need to know if this is normal and what I can do ;-;
>>34014920
its normal and you do nothing
ak bayonets use shit steel that cant hold an edge
its not worth the effort to sharpen since it will dull almost immediately when used
>>34014939
o-oh. I thought... ok. Ok I get you.
>>34014861
youve got that shit on backwards you cut with the spine not the edge
>>34014952
o-ok. I did that the first time and thought it was stupid looking but ok
>>34014956
you do it the other way and theres a pretty decent chance you put a nice nick in the blade and ruin the edge when you try to cut anything
>>34014861
Yeah mate. Really nice ones are only $18 online. Sell it for fiddy and buy two.
>>34014823
keep it as a souvenire. i hate those, they are useless in the civilian life.

As he said its not a great knife for actually cutting anything. Its more of a brute force tool and a stabber which doesnt require it to be that sharp anyway.
