I just bought this impulsively because it was relatively cheap, a few guys in the store used it as their primary handgun, and it felt good firing

How did I do for my first gun?
>>
>>34011130

where is the gun?

all i see is a grenade
>>
>>34011130
You made a good investment. You basically bought a toyota Camry. Nothing flashy, but It'll run for a long fucking time.
>>
>>34011150
Good, that was what I was aiming (heh) for
>>
its a good gun, boring though.. nothing really too it and everyone has one.
>>
>>34011162
Well I mean, it's my first one. I'd rather start with the basic and see if I am interested in investing in more.

I'm more for the home defense and fun on the range than anything

I don't understand how a handgun can cost more than $3,000
>>
>>34011180
well then its perfect for you then.

That's why YOU bought a boring piece of Tupperware. Once the Glock fanboys start talking about sight, trigger, barrel, etc upgrades, you'll slowly wake to the fact that you've been swindled.
>>
>>34011273
I'm really not concerned about how flashy it is, I didn't buy it to impress people

You obviously didn't buy it to have a decent firearm either.

It's fine. It's a jack of all trades. Parts are cheap. Beginners shoot it well.

I know of some Glock owners that'll never hold one again in their lives.

The only real problem they have is the grip angle and everything else is a relative criticism. They just don't fit most people well and instead of looking for something else they stick with what everyone else told them to get. People that learn to shoot on Glocks have to unlearn their awkward grip whenever they switch to something else.

Ironically, the Glock is also the most tacticool pistol there is. There is a reason why german SF and many police units use the Glock over allegedly superior offerings by HK, Walther and Sig.

Before, it was the Sig P226 with the trigger spring breaking but that was an easy fix. The Glocks have to have the slides sent back to the factory. Even my "Glock guys" have noticed how often and SOON they are failing.

>Acting like it didn't happen but it do

Acting like it happens more often in glawks but it don't. Also, acting like 99% of kbs aren't caused by improper ammo.

I'm not a fanboy (I'd much rather have a Sig for polymer) but the hate against them is pretty unreasonable and generally false. The only legitimate criticism I've heard on them is that they are overpriced. For a first time gun buyer without a lot of experience, it's a safe pick. No finding out later you can't get sights for it or magazines are rare as a straight unicorn or that there is only one holster made for it and it'll cost you your left nut.

Boring, beige, vanilla, cookie cutter, prefab tupperware but such a safe choice that the worst case scenario is that it makes an excellent back up gun.
>>
>>34012929
You are retarded, no offense. They have very strict and tight cleaning/maintenance standards, if you did some reading you would see.
I don't get why you're arguing, they say its crap and you're still shilling for them.
Glock=crap.
next meme please.
>>
>>34011130
All meme's aside, it's a crap gun op. Sell it and buy an HK. VP9 if your a strikerfag, USP or P30L if you're not a fag.
>>
>>34011273

Sights are typically replaced on most pistols, that's why Glock uses plastic, they know you're gonna get Dawson's, ameriglos, etc. Even muh CZ master race appreciates a trigger upgrade. Bbls don't need replaced but how else you gonna suppress? Glocks are the AR15 of handguns. If you're a keep it stock pleb, buy an HK, if you're a discerning customization guy, get the Glawk.
>>
>>34015050
>OP don't buy this gun because this dude who owns a range says they fail after being passed around and mag dumped every day for 2 months even though you'll put MAYBE 500 rounds through it a month. Anyone who tells you otherwise is shilling
Seriously?
>>
>>34011130
It's one of the best choices that you could make. It is simple to operate, reliable, low-maintenance, accurate, and has tons of options for good aftermarket accessories. All you really need though is a new set of quality sights and a good holster and spare mag carrier if you're going to carry it. Also the factory mags are fairly cheap and work well and 9mm is a good caliber for ammo availability/cost and has a wide selection of defense rounds. The 19 in particular is good because it has pretty high capacity, and is about as small of a handgun that you can shoot with a full grip. Ignore the glocknade, muh aesthetics, and muh ergos/trigger fags, the majority of them can't shoot to begin with and/or want some special snowflake pistol that they think will make them cooler. It's not the only gun out there, but it's a good choice. If it weren't, spec ops, tons of law enforcement, and competition shooters wouldn't use them.
