Ok /k/, I'm not sure if this is the place for it but I'm asking anyway. I recently introduced my cousin to guns and took him shooting. He loved it to death, but his parents are extremely anti gun, so they won't buy him a gun since he's only 16, and I don't have the money to. He was looking at a pellet gun just to plink (pic related Daisy Powerline 880) but there's some confusion. On the box it says 16+, but we aren't sure if that means he can buy it. So basically, in Texas can you buy a pellet gun at 16?

Google exists bud, but yea

Im pretty sure the age on the box is for the "suggested user", not necessarily who can legally purchase it. He can probably buy it, worse case scenario they tell him no and he buys it online. In any case even if he couldnt buy it, why not buy it for him?
The state of texas has no problem with him buying or owning one, but some retailers (walmart for sure) may have a problem if he tries to buy it himself.

knowing how to find and read gun laws is part of being a gun owner, anon

I think it depends on the store. In Nevada you can legally buy one at 16 but when I tried to buy the same exact pelleted gun when I was 17 at Big 5, they wouldn't let me. The store rules say you have to be 18 for it. So, my mother took me to buy it. If I were you, I'd fine a local business that sells them. They'll probably go by the state laws.

Just go with him, or have him give you the money, you buy it, and give it to him later.

STRAW PURCHASE!
>hello atf, I need a dog removal service

Do this it's only an airgun.
I live in post commie country and every small boy had an airgun and almost every home has one. My mom bought me one when I was 15, because our older one didn't work.

It's not a firearm dipshit. It's essentially a toy, so it's not paperworked or a strawpurchase
