Gun manufacturers should be legally required to ensure that their triggers break at no more than 1 kg of weight. Call it the Marksmanship Restoration and Trigger Quality Assurance Act.

Fucking idiot.
>>
>>33995332
Try a HK91/93 trigger, those are 8-9 lbs but break clean. How about you follow marksmenship fundamentals and not blame the weapon for you sucking.

i'll vote for this as long as you cut off your own penis and record it on youtube
>>
>>33995332
Yeah, that sounds like a disaster for defensive guns. You want something a little more positive than 2.something pounds of pull when adrenaline is giving you a burst of hulk strength and jitters. 5 lbs at least for duty weapons.
>>
>1kg
>2.2lb
no thanks
>>
>>33995445
I honestly didn't know they were so heavy and I have a 91. they a have a little more slack then a milspec AR which I'm used to, but they break much better then AR triggers
>>
>>33995332
fuck you OP I grew up on a nagant revolver I require a minimum of a 15 pound trigger pull
>>
>>33995411
Yes, a good trigger DOES have to be light. That's why all the triggers you see on high quality guns are.
>>33995445
Imagine I gave you a pair of crocs to use as cross country running shoes and said, "How about your follow running fundamentals and not blame your shoes for you sucking."

How about tools be designed to make the job at hand easier, not harder.

>guys who never do more than plink at 15 meters
>>33995566
Fuddlore. Unless you have an arm with a mind of its own like Dr. Strangelove, a light trigger is no problem.
>>33996659
There's a reason you don't see those in competitions were accuracy determines contestants' scores.

Whatever you say, dumb fuck. Enjoy shooting your dick off.
>>
>>33998050
Enjoy your poor trigger discipline if that's a genuine concern. All my guns have a 2lb or less trigger and I have never had an ND. I also almost never use a safety. Instead I am religious about firearm safety and handling.
>>
>>33996650
I have a 93 heavy but brakes VERY crisp.

No. My P06/29 is at 1.4 kg right now and thats already almost borderline.

>light trigger
>tactile and easily activated safety that is ergonomically located
>basic level of training and familiarity

It's great listening to striker fired types talk shit about how constant perfect trigger discipline under stress is so easy a retard could do it and then two minutes later shit talk manual safeties like they're impossible to work under the same circumstances.

>>33995332
I fundamentally disagree with this premise, to start with, it's too light a trigger pull for certain applications, such as carbines and what not, or gloved shooting. Every shooter has their preference, but the thing about ridiculously light triggers is that maybe they're not the safest thing to carry. Maybe you have a certain style of carrying and all other is horseshit, well, your new law means I can't safely carry my .950 JDJ rifle with a round in the chamber when I hunt space lizards.
>>
>>33995332
Light doesn't always mean good. Light triggers can still be long, mushy, gritty, stack, etc.

Don't point guns at your dick, and don't pull the trigger until your want to fire the gun. Problem solved.

>>34003102
Sorry. 9.8 Newtons of force. Happy now?

>>34006414
I agree. Lightness is a necessary but not sufficient condition for a good trigger.

>all guns are intended for long range precision

Mkay pumpkin
>>
>>34008173
All guns SHOULD be intended to FACILITATE precision as much as possible. Unfortunately, manufacturers realize that most gun owners rarely shoot, and when they do, they have little desire to be good shots, as they typically shoot only very easy targets.

>>33996762

The idea that you need a heavy trigger to be safe is a meme.

I shoot my Glock better with the NY1 trigger than with the stock trigger.
Explain that, atheist.
Oh, wait, you can't.
>>
>>33995411
Sure the fuck does.

A long, gritty, mushy trigger that's 1.5lbs is a fuckload easier to shoot well than a short, smooth, crisp trigger that's 7lbs.

Or maybe you could type 1.4 kg into google like I did?
>>
>>34011563
Maybe if you used the standard of measurement 95% of the gun-owning community knows innately I wouldn't have to?

Face it, when it comes to guns, if it's not in shit the USA uses by default it's irrelevant.

No gun should be allowed to fully cock before pulling the trigger.
>>
>>33995332
I only want stupidly light trigger on my bolt guns. Having hair triggers on pistols is a really bad idea.
