My dad was gonna be a Seal. Passed most of the testing and everything. Then he ended up taking the fall for some robbery his shithead friends did, and the felony ruined his chance.

I did some joint k9 shit wth a Seal. He legit almost killed his dog too. He kept giving the dog giant bowls of water while working. I had said "hey man that's kind of a lot of water no?" But he was a seal and I was just a regular EDD k9 pleb. Anyway fat forward 30 min and his dog bloats, bloat is basically the most dangerous shit for an mwd to get and once it happens they're basically fucked and will die.

Where we were at all we had was a vet tech with minimal shit. The dogs had to be evacd to Kuwait or Germany if it was something the tech couldn't take care of. Anyway, this isn't something she or any real vet can do anything about either.

Long story short the dog starts puking all this shit up, stops responding to everything and they flew him and the seal handler to Germany.

Later our head trainer who was a prior military handler but was contracting for Nothrop Grumman told us that those seals aren't even certified handlers, they get a couple weeks crash course with a civilian contract company and the dogs are contracted by the same people. So that's the excuse for him nearly killing his dog.

Basically shooters first, everything else second. I'm still mad jealous of being able to call yourself a seal.

Anyway story time is over, I wish I could be a seal dog handler so I could write a book and make money.
