What historic gun manufacturers aren't cucked? Is it just Bernetta and Holland and Holland?

>Colt is kill
>Springfield is kill
>marlin and Remington are kill
>henry is from like the late 80s
>>
Browning.
>>
Own two Marlins my great grandfather bought for my dad. It hurts to see Marlin now.
>>
Sig, HK, CZ. The problem is that most have had to downsize, or become somewhat cucked by our bullshit laws. HK gets crap about them not importing all their funs, but the government screws them over. Same with most cool guns.

I did have a hearty kek when Beretta told Maryland where to stick it.

hk and cz aren't really historic. they've been making guns for less than a century.
>>
>>33973601
Well HK was birthed by mauser engineers that left after the war. I would also consider them to be the successors to the german small arms military manufacturing. While cz was created in 1919..... so I am 2 years off. They manufactured most of the firearms that were made for the czechs for the world wars and after.

idk man, all the companies op provided were all at least 150 years old and still operating. i mean beretta was founded in the 1500s, remington just had their bicentennial, and springfield was founded just before the 19th century. those are historic companies.

They've always been broke. Hasn't stopped them from shitting out guns.
>>
>>33973295
the Springfield of today has no relation to the historic government arsenal other then purchasing their records when they were shuttered. it was founded as an importer in the 70's
>>
>>33973789
If you look for other companies that are around 150 years old in the gun industry that resemble themselves then he posted the only ones. The rest are either too young, or are shells of their former self.

i mean mauser is actually still around producing sniper rifles to this day. walther was founded in 1886 and still trucking. there's a lot of arms manufacturers that are still trucking. you just chose two companies you adore and decided to post them.

just because wernher von braun started to do research for nasa, doesn't mean the german rocket science division lasted until the 70's.

Sig's been through a number of iterations, but they date back over 150 years. QC's had some issues in Exeter and Newington, but they've kept faith with their base.
>>
>>33973295
Do you mean "aren't currently cucked" or do you mean "never have been cucked"?We all know what Bill Ruger did back in the 90s, but modern Ruger is pretty damn based.
>>
>>33973961
You got me on walther, and you are correct that mauser is still producing bolts. Idk maybe it's that I was focusing on large companies. Since I am a CA fag we pretty much get no walther pistols here, and mauser doesn't interest me that much.
I wanted to post S&W but they are cucked by the hillary hole.
>>
>>33973987
Very true. Still hard to get back together with Ruger after a betrayal like that, though. I do have to admit they make a nice wonder 9, and they really helped kickstart the .380 revival (after copycatting Lel-Tec).

>>
>>33973504
We did, too. The law was fucking bullshit and around 13,000 people physically mailed Beretta to ask them if they could tell the state to go fuck itself.

Lo and behold, Beretta didnt appreciate being treated like shit and the state lost something like 20 million in tax revenue a year.

Felt fucking good. Now we're all just waiting for the next Baltimore Riot.

>>33974138
Maryland passed gun control laws that would have prevented Maryland's citizens from buying most Beretta products (while exempting LEOs, of course). Beretta packed up and moved.

>>33974007
The Hillary Hole, plus the fact that S&W didn't do the same, are 2 big black marks in my book.
>>
>>33974138
TL;DR
Maryland talks about an assault weapons ban, several Beretta firearms are on the list. Beretta warns MD that it paid $30 mill in taxes and does a significant amount of fucking business in and around MD. MD shits the bed and signs an unlawful and stupid as fuck AWB anyway.

Beretta, because they're presumably not fucking bitches, tells MD legislators where to shove it, shuts down the local plant, and scraps fucking everything, shorting the state of MD $24 mill in taxes the next year. State of MD shits itself and basically begs them to come back, Beretta tells them to go fuck themselves, and additionally tells them they'll no longer be selling to State Troopers in the state.

The AWB is still in effect. Beretta hasnt come back since. From what I'm lead to believe, the MD statie contract was picked up by S&W.
>>
>>33974116
yeah, they sold most of their tooling to sig. but from what i know, mauser still makes barrels. even if most of them are a subsidiary of sig. kinda like how stoeger and bennelli are their own company but still owned by beretta.
>>
>>33974193
>>33974167
Well damn, good on Beretta.

Knew there was a reason I've always hated S&W.
>>
>>33974193
This makes me a hell of a lot happier to own a Beretta, although it came from Italy.
>>
>>33974193
Holy shit that's based. Not that it mattered, anti gunners don't care about facts or logic, only feelings.
>>
>>33974167
>>33974216
IIRC S&W got bought by some libcuck who built a shitty "smart" gun, added the Hillary hole and got kicked out by 2000. I don't know why they haven't removed them by now, but that's not really a reason to hate them these days.

S&W. Yeah, there's the Hillary Hole, but it's not that big of a deal, and they still have a full line of modern firearms and sell them to civilians. Most if not all are still made in America, too.

Also Walther, but afaik they're not that old of a company either.

Being relatively young companies doesn't mean they can't be historic.

I get what you're saying, but at least it doesn't impede functionality or remove features like those other things do.

I actually think it's a decent enough idea, I can see the logic in having an integrated lock, though I'm not totally convinced by the implementation and don't support the political reasons they added it. At least it's relatively easy to remove.

I can appreciate that half this thread has turned into:

I am seriously saving my pennies for whatever bash they throw in 7 years for the official anniversary.
>tfw you want to take your 92 A1 to the place of it's birth on the anniversary but euro gun laws would make it impossible.
Just a small piece would be enough, but I don't want to risk losing part of my first pistol, or the whole thing.

What exactly did Springfield do? I heard people ragging on them recently for selling out; but I never found out why.

>What historic gun manufacturers aren't cucked?

Walther? Fabrique Nationale?
>>
>>33985407
They supported a lobbyist group that supported a gun law in Illinois that made a board to appoint FFLs (in short, you may have an FFL on a federal level but if the state doesn't like you, fuck you; it also creates a significant bottleneck because said board is like, 8 people from what's been said) and the bill rather conveniently went from FFLs AND manufacturers to just FFLs right after the donation.

Rock River Arms did the same thing.
>>33973295
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Shit and Whoresons support of the micro stamping BS for California.
The Hillary hole may go, but that will forever stain their name.
>>
>>33973295
I hope you weren't referring to Springfield of Geneseo, because they're not the same thing as THE Springfield Armory. Those motherfuckers have been dead since '68.

Geneseo Springfield did commit company suicide, but they by no means are a historic gun manufacturer.
