Can anyone suggest a good 38 special revolver? I'm thinking of getting one to plink and enjoy (possibly restore) since I bought a Heritage Arms Rough Rider a while back and absolutely love that little firecracker. I bring it to the range every single time i go.
My price range is about $300.

If you're willing to spend a bit extra, Colts are very high quality. I got my Official Police on the cheap, but it's still bonkers accurate and as smooth as glass. I love it so much, best $430 I ever spent.

Ruger Vaquero, but get it in .357 so you can shoot both that and .38 special.

Shit, just saw your price range. That makes things difficult because even Uberti's are more than that.

Wow, Official Police's are still relatively inexpensive still. I'm surprised cause usually any type of Colt Revolver commands a premium

From what I've seen it's got good reviews for otherwise being a rather plain gun. Most of the reviewers say it's good for plinking, or a good truck gun, but it's not anything that will wow anyone. Durable, functional, and the msrp is $275.
I'm very happy with my LCR. I bought the .357 version, but only ever shoot .38 out of it.

>Official Police
enjoy your timing issues
>spend a bit extra
>$430
sheesh, someone sure took you for a ride didn't they?
>Plinking revolver
>$300
you could try an EAA they can run about that price
Taurus for all the shit that they get, you could always look at one in a shop, check timing, hammer push-off etc.
Same as Rossi
Maybe just maybe you might be able to find a used SP101 for close to $300 if you're lucky
if you want a single action only, kinda limited can't think of one off the top of my head, even the cheap ones run $400ish

>took me for a ride
>$300 underpeiced, barely used
My brother got a $600 Glock for $450 at the same place, they don't really research their guns.
And where's YOUR gun?
