Don't notice the weight with a proper holster and belt. You can fit two mags in the (small "watch" pocket) in your jeans.

The Makarov's weight is only an issue if you stick in your pocket, and having a good belt to hold up your pants solves that issue.

My FLGS is Fudd as fuck and still has 9mm Mak, and the internet has ammo for very reasonable prices. I bought my Mak from Classic, and while I had to clean the shit out of it, it's a fun little gun.

I'm still nervous about dropping the decocker on a loaded chamber, though. Just feels like a bad idea.

Take it apart sometime and actually look at how it works. The safety has a firing pin block. The whole point is that the block moves into position before the decocker drips the pin on the block. Fuck, I'm more worried about 2 of my pistols that use the firing pin for the ejector. Makarov is fine.

Depends on where you live. Here in West Michigan .380 and 9x18 is about the same price with .380 being everywhere and 9mak only being sold at a few places

I appreciate my east German. I paid a premium for it over bulgarians, a couple years ago. Then I got the Wolff recoil springs and put in the 21 pounder. I even have a new unissued east German Barrel for it.
