Subs with nukes is all you need to keep your country safe from foreign powers.
What do you do if somebody attacks you with something in between a strongly worded letter and an atom bomb?
>>33948021
You nuke them.
>Somali pirates rape and murder your entire country and laugh as you nuke Somalia.
>>33948032
this. You are gonna have to nuke a couple shitty countries before the other ones catch on that you mean business.
How do you deal with rebels backed by a foreign power ?
>>33948118
Nuke the foreign power.
>>33948118
Start nuking countries until all the rebels and their supporters are dead
>>33948004
How do you handle a civil war?
>>33948118
that's a law enforcement problem, just give them bigger guns
mexico did that during the cristero war and it worked out very well
>>33948148
Tactical nukes.
>>33948118
That's more of a matter of diplomacy and other stealthy politics.
If a foreign power is backing rebels then you either address it directly or tip toe around it like America has been doing for the past 17 years with Al Queda.
>>33948163
worked well in Syria.
>>33948034
Seriously. It's like op time traveled from wwii where all enemies wore a uniform and pledged allegiance to a piece of land within clearly defined borders.

>nuke the entirety of western europe
>nuke turkey and drop a lot of radioactive waste in northern africa and middle east
>now you have a invisible wall that gives cancer to whoever tries to cross it by land
>>33948004
What if the foreign power is a sovereign fleet of nuclear submarines?
>>33948004
and what happens when a foreign power funds a separatist/insurgency movement within your boarders, or a puppet nation decides to annex a good trade partner?
Ballistic Missile subs are only one aspect of nuclear deterrence. Don't be stupid. I know this is bait, but it's still a good training opportunity.
How is an SSBN going to stop a 4GW insurgency?
There's more to defence than nuclear deterrence. It's important, but there's more to it.
>>33949359
Sort of like the USA.
>>33949359
>Somali pirates continue to laugh as they insert a rusty machete into your vagina.
QUESTION
How do you know which country a nuke was launched from if it was from a sub?
Or are subs actually pretty well monitored and impossible to escape from detection?
note: Like an aicraft carrier is ridiculously easy to see. Doesn't mean you can attack it easily though.
>>33948004
thats why NORKs are building them.
that Kim is a fucking idot but building sub nukes is the smartest thing he's doing. he knows the US won't be able to fuck him like they fucked Ghadaffi and Saddam.
>>33949637
SSBNs are supposed to be invisible.
Only 5 countries have SSBNs - US, UK, France, China and Russia, so that narrows the list of potential aggressors down.
