How best to trim the end off a rail?
I want to lighten the gun and I don't have iron sights and I don't use the end of the rail anyways.
My plan is to just use a miter saw to make the cut since I've used regular wood blades to cut aluminum angle before. Thoughts?
BTW I plan on cutting it just to the point where it covers the gas block.

When my TRS-25 lets me down, I will. It probably never will.

cut it close then do the finishing touches with a file

you bought that piece of shit?

Yeah, lol.
How much weight do you think you'll actually save?
The heaviest part of your gun is going to be the barrel.

I would use a band saw I guess. Portaband or a bench mounted would be fine. If you use a portaband clamp that shit down well and have a steady hand.
Could have just bought a shorter rail.

I also did. That thing shit the bed the instant it got below 5° F, and started acting spotty at about 15°
Hope yours is better

Buy a new rail instead of bubba'ing your gun. I guarantee it'll look like shit if you do it yourself so make sure to post it on /k/ if you go through with it
