If they can land contracts with India or other nations then the PAK FA will do very well.
It won't become the most common fighter by any means but it could be a valuable addition to an air force that's expecting to encounter things like the F-15. Though a lot of that will also come down to pilot training.

Aside from the one engine flameout there hasn't been too many serious problems.
If that kind of issue early into development makes it a lemon then some other planes would qualify as goddam disasters. It looks promising but more pricey compared to past Soviet/Russian offerings, that's the cost of such a leap in technology.

I think the digital looks good. Way better than most digital camos. I also doubt its an operational paint scheme.
