It's a Winfield "LeChasseur" .22lr pistol. It appears to be a French import target pistol.
They went for about $250 four years ago, and lemme google a bit more and respond with what I find.

This guy got it. It's an MAB R22 "Unique" pistol. The grips are the importer name.

It was just an import target pistol that was built on Walther Olympia tooling with a mixture of French military parts. It's just a Varmint/Target pistol.
It's interesting for a keep, but as for current value seeing an auction sold one for $450+$35 shipping, it isn't something that's insanely valuable.

Winfield was bought out by Smithchester back in the day. You don't see them around too often at all very rare.
I have an old Brownington similar to that. Production numbers are so low that its hard to find any documentation.
