So lets talk SB1657. Who is still going to buy rock river arms and springfield armory guns?
>>
I still unironically want an M1A. Maybe I'll get one secondhand
>>
I also would like to have an m1a. While digging around I found out that Springfield is just an import company and that they do not produce anything themselves. They simply bring in firearms double the price they paid and send them out. I am very much on the fence about supporting them after this debacle. Further more what will happen to their gun prices if we quit buying them??

Mind posting exactly what SB1657 you're talking about? Just giving the bill number is meaningless since it could be from any state in the country or the federal government.
>>
>>33932254
where have you been this past 7 days?
>>
U.S. SENATE BILL SB1657 regarding Illinois making FFL licensing much more stringent and 9 transfer limit per resident. Springfield armory and Rock River Arms where SOLE contributors to Lobbyist (Illinois Firearm Manufacturing Association) who supported this bill. Would make very hard to be an FFL and limit how many guns one person could buy. After being exposed they made official statements distancing themselves saying they had no idea that their lobbyist was involved. I do want to point out that S.A. and R.R.A. are the sole contributors to I.F.M.A. and gave them hundreds of thousands of dollars. So are these manufactures shady or morons??
>>
>>33931822
I wanted to get a M1A, now I'm saving for a Fulton
>>
>>33931822
Went and bought two grip zones like a wekk before it happened. Still totally happy, the Croat guns are good, plus extra mags.
>>
>>33932224

The latest Salient Arms full custom XD frame melt and grip reduction with battle worn finish. $3500.
>>
I've only ever liked the EMPs and I'm just gonna build a 1911. I could care less about RRA. A decade ago maybe, but not in this market
>>
>>33931822
I wasn't going to buy any in the first place.

What kind of business supports limits on the amount of their product people are allowed to buy?

I'm leaning towards stupidity here.

Did they start the lobby or did they just contribute to a gun friendly sounding group?

Or in other words, they where the only contributors to Jay Keller (fuck nut who signed off on bill and Illinois Firearm Manufacture Association only lobbyist). I.F.M.A. was started by Jay Keller and Dan Reese CEO of Springfield Armory and one of the Larsons from R.R.A.
