are red dots worth investing in or are they just a meme?
I'm currently running a 3x9 fixed optic scope, but looking at the practicality of red dots I'm wondering if i should acquire one.
Look up what "investing" means.

They are a useless meme, that's why no military force or professional shooter uses them.
>>33920745
>running a fixed variable scope
really makes me think
>>33920745
Personal preference. Red dots are fun to use, but I like a 1-x scope more.
>>33920757
Plus, all the companies lie to you bro.
>>33920745
Remember OP, memes are Jewish schemes.
With that being said fuck iron sights too. Kentucky windage that shit.
>>33920757
A couple pro shooters run them on their handguns.
They're distance specific. Your rifle is expected to perform out to at least 100 yards even in 3 gun, so a fixed red dot doesn't make sense. If you're only shooting to 25 yards or want something just for shooting short range indoors like home defense, a red dot is fine.

>not putting your faith in Allah to make your bullets hit their target
Never gonna make it.

>>33920771
so it ain't good to invest in. what about acogs? are there any cheap variants out there
>>33920784
so shtf medium distance optic isn't too bad then?
>>33920798
>not putting the rifle on the highest number so it shoots harder
fucking crackers
How far do you usually shoot?
>>33920757
>>33920784
>They cant make hits at 400 meters without a magnified optic.
>>33921092
I found the Marine who was smart enough to figure out how to make a post on here guys!
>>33921065
currently im shooting like 50m-800m. depends really. I'm just asking if it's practical to have one because you can acquire targets quicker when close up and possibly mid range?
Wait, really?
Red-dots, ACOGs, etc. are all just memes and don't actually help at all? I remember when /k/ wouldn't shut the fuck up about the EOTech 512 when it came out.
>>33921056
That moment on deployment you wonder if accurate rifle fire will later be considered white privilege
>>33921148
Properly aligned they work for the relatively flat arc trajectory but once yo get any real drop you may want something else and do not expect full precision
>>33921173
>EOTech 512
>tfw still want one
>>33920757
jerry miculek uses them on all his guns
>>33921401
I remember when they were impossible to get, and cost over 3 grand because of scalpers.
>>33920764
lol no one even caught that.
>>33920757
Everyone took your obvious bait

Vortex spitfire is the cheap version
of an acog
>>33921274
>properly aligned
Do you want to know how I know you don't know what you're talking about?
>>33920745
Is that a vortex brand vortex AR? The handguard appears have their logo
>>33923130
The sad thing is that it wasn't even supposed to be bait, but illuminating sarcasm.
>>33920745
HAve one for my famas
looks great
>>33920745
Is the UH-1 decent? I love the way they look but I've not heard anything about them
>>33923487
They're not available yet, but if I had to take an educated guess, I would say theyre gonna be exceptional for their cost. Vortex makes the best made in China optics money can buy.
>>33923391
Seekins precision.
>>33923703
>made in china
