>Officer comes in
>"Okay boys, you've been selected to lead the next offensive. Fix bayonets and prepare to charge. You're out in 30 minutes."
What do?
>>33914103
Die from a gas attack.
>but sir, my bayonet isn't broken
>>33914103
Write a letter to home, hug my brothers fix a bayonet and suck up I'm about to take a pile of MG ammo to my chest.
>>33914103
*die from artillery barrage*
>>33914103
Advance for a bit then hide in a hole
>>33914103
Break my leg.
>>33914179
Ha!
>>33914103
"Thank goodness sir I was thinking this modern professional army should Press on against these Hun conscripts immediately and break them with our superior discipline, If we wait a day longer this war won't be over til summer of '16 and I have plans for a New Year's party in Birmingham I cannot miss."
"Leave that Mills bomb behind Charles you git, you're liable to blow us all to bits. And take off your helmets men you can't shoot straight with them and we will need all possible speed for the advance. If we needed to these silly caps to fight we wouldn't have conquered India without them."
>>33914103
Fix bayonet and prepare to charge, obviously
turn 360 degrees and walk away
>>33914957
Dumbass, if you turned 360 degrees you would be facing the same way.
>>33914103
thats not how it works
>>33914994
he gotcha with an old one
>>33915209
trolls trolling trolls trolling trolls trolling the guy who says this
>>33914103
Go to an isolated area, stab my knee or foot with my bayonet
Scream for a medic and say I fell on it
Face it I'd be dying to advance mud holes 2cm in a war that had no purpose other than politicians who never suffered from it measuring dicks.
>>33914103
>Be me
>Die
>>33914103
Wibble
>>33914103
run out and get slaughtered by endless amounts of fire from some fag sitting in a trench getting ezpz kills against an entire battalion of men with a belt fed mg
>>33915784
The only answer
Die, because those fucking euro Empires can't work together against the real foe...China! They did while the boxer rebellion lasted and it was fucking awesome. All epmires combined were pretty unbeatable.
>>33914103
>Be the Gunner of a Vickers so can't be in the assault, plunging fire, support, that shit
>Inevitability, have to move the fucking thing when the fail attack happens and enemy counter attacks
>Assist gunner lady dress like fake man, can at least carry lots of belts and boxes. But not gun
>But that ass and tits, pounded
>Ponder about double guns, then get called in for new inventory
>Get new light machine gun, the Lewis
>Can choose Vickers or Lewis, but Lewis means frontline duty
>Assist stays with me no matter what
How handle this?
>>33915784
kek'd hard
>>33914103
Fill pantaloons and prepare to die.
>go over trench, get shot.
>don't go over trench, still get shot.
>>33914179
hehehe
>>33914103
Trip and fall in the first shell hole I come too. Make a good show of getting up until enough of my unit advances.
Then bring up the rear.
I'm not dying in the dumbest war of the 20th century.
>>33914103
probably shoot my officer or the highest up ranking faggot i could find, if im gonna half to kill those of my own race its gonna be those orchestrating the conflict
>>33915784
Underrated. The ending was so feels
>>33914103
'Remember lads, advance at walking pace in orderly fashion - we wouldnt want anyone to fall over, that would just look silly'

#TrenchFoot
>>33914103
Die from one of the several disease I have
>>33914103
pretend I'm dead
>>33914103
Well thats not hoq it works, everyone is charging
Smoke a bit, get the rum tot, write a last letter to my family in case i dont make it and give it to the chap who has to stay behind.
Then go over the top, run, take cover if the machine guns are too fierce, advance as far as possible, probably die for king and country, if not stab and shoot krauts to death
>>33917329
Its not their fault, also Theyre going over the top with you and going first, officer casualty rates were actually higher than the non-commissioned ranks.
Also the Generals werent cowards, about 200 managed to get themselves killed or wounded, they often had to be behind the lines because they needed to control a large front and so needed a large space and infrastructure.
Find burlap sack.
Fill with hand grenades.
>>33914994
>be a tripfag
>fall for the most obvious and overused bait there is
Why am I not surprised?
>>33914144
tru
Just jump into a hole when the shooting starts and crawl back to my trench when the night comes.
>>33919119
Yeah sure they weren't cowards, fucking idiots is what they were.
I, that on my familiar hill
Saw with uncomprehending eyes
A hundred of thy sunsets spill
Their fresh and sanguine sacrifice,
Before the sun swings his noonday sword
Must say good-bye to all of this; -
By all delights that I shall miss,
Help me to die, O Lord.
>>33914103
>ok boys
>you're out in 30 minutes
It's a war not a fucking football match for the Sunday league
>>33922474
Help me write more realistic dialogue then. What should it say?
>implying that would ever happen
90% of soldiers didn't even see combat.
>>33922573
>trench warfare was mostly waiting with very little actual combat
no shit
>>33915784
muthafucka knows what's up
"brb, left my teacup at home"
>>33914925
This after a last cup of tea, stiffened with rum and a long drag off an unfiltered players cigarette
