Anything is better than nothing. It's probably not possible to carry easily, but if the mob is after you you could probably put it in a big pocket or bag short term.

To achieve that pf, they are usually chambered in a caliber like .38 SA or 9x21 IMI. You are looking at a gun that fires 124gr 9mm bullets at an average muzzle velocity of 1400fps, which is 200-250 fps faster than a 10mm auto.
Not exactly the best for self defense, unless you want to poke needle holes in the aggressor and,after piercing the wall behind him, kill your neighbour.

You are better off with a hue gun bought at your local favela.
