the MK23 was designed to be a primary offensive handgun not a side arm like the mk25.
Try finding another Da/Sa pistol smaller than this that can hold 12 rounds of 45 and can handle +P ammo effectively without it shaking its shit to pieces.
Nice 03 btw, sucks that HK stopped using there super finish after socom ended their contract.

Trying to decide between a Mk 23 or a Desert Eagle for my next fun buy. The Mk 23 has style points and history, while the deagle has the ability for a changeout to fire rimmed magnum rounds.

Both seem decent for my big-ass mitts, but not quite sure yet. Any thoughts?

It had nothing to do with shitty buzzwords - the gun was just poorly thought out during its conception. An unnecessarily large pistol chambered in a cartridge with subpar performance for a role as a primary firearm during ops. No fucking wonder it was later replaced.
