A good barrel and bcg. You can find nitraded barrels for around 90 to 150. Look around psa, primaryarms,alanticfirearms,jimbobs for some deals.
Memorial day is close and there will be tons of deals if you can be patient save your cash alittle longer.

Fuck Ruger, they use shitty parts and have utter shit quality control, I've had to fix several that came into the store, like the ones that come in without any pins in the lower, it costs less to tear then down and add the pins than ship them back to the distributor.

I got the Ruger AR556 for $572 w/ free ship from SG. I've put approximately 850 rounds through it without a single problem. I added the Magpul triggerguard, MOE SL carbine stock and handguard, and an Aimpoint PRO. The Ruger grip felt great so I left it. The improved delta ring is superior. Anyone bitching about the flash hider or front sight post is a bed-wetting noob.
