If the entire assault weapon ban shit and the class 3 license requirement, wouldn't old pre-ban full autos still be expensive as fuck?
I mean, they are still pre ban mint condition 30 year old rifles, just because civilians can own new ones for cheaper it doesn't mean that their price would drop unless people wanna liquidite them ASAP

Take a look at how you worded what you said and try again some other time
Why would they be? They are priced due to their scarcity, if everyone can own a brand new M4A1 for 1 grand then a 30 year old M727 couldn't be justifiably priced at 50 grand, even if it is mint condition, which most of them are far from.

I have no idea what you just said.
>>33834627
I had that question in my mind since collectors that use pre ban guns as something for the sole purpose of acquiring money when selling them would complain about the civilian automatic gun laws and that it would devaluate their guns
>>33834782
Was that a question or a statement?
Yes, that's why some people with a lot of NFA shit oppose repeal, since it would devalue their investments. If AWB has already been tossed out, then no amount of price setting would matter as their guns have already been devalued. They can price them as they ever have if they choose, but they wont move any units.
>>33834830
But would they really devaluate? I mean, what most people would have is borderline history pieces anyway, how much would it devaluate anyways?
>>33834457
>If the entire assault weapon ban shit and the class 3 license requirement
What did he mean by this?
>>33834861
In general most of the firearms would devalue for the general public, they would end up more like milsurps. Where some people will pay a lot for a special m16a1, but most of them would be MUCH cheaper.
This could also mean that old smg's that were open bolt might be ok to have as full auto. Then we would all have cheap pps43's and shit. It would be glorious

Depends on the gun. A mint Stoner 63 with all conversion parts would retain the majority of its value (~$130K) due to its significance as a museum piece, but a MAC11 would be rendered effectively worthless.

This. The further back you go, usually the more expensive it gets.
Take the Lewis Gun, for instance. If the NFA vanished tomorrow, the Lewis because of it's age and complex construction would still be valuable.
We can turn out all the Ingram clones anyone wants cheap. There will never be a cheap Lewis Gun.

Depends on the gun in question.
Actual STG-44 used by the SS in WWII? Not losing much value.
Oh look another AK-47? Value drops like a rock.
