Accuracy isn't everything, especially for pistols.

Take a look at the sights - they're set up to be shot only at distances used in the Olympics.

Even then, you can notice that the sights are also mounted on barrel and the receiver that are lined up perfectly with each other. Slide-mounted sights are inferior to these BUT - how many pistols, outside of revolvers, have sights mounted like that? Most of them are slide-mounted. The reason is that for practical purposes the difference in accuracy is minimal and that construction allows for simpler locking mechanisms.

Sport shooting is really heavily biased towards heavily specialised solutions. It's fine by itself, but trying to use experiences from sport shooting into consideration when designing firearms meant to be used practically isn't the best idea - if you want to know why take a look at BAR sights. Or later production M1 Carbine sights vs. early production ones.

I just took a nap, and had a dream where I shot one, and I can say the ergonomics are fantastic. Really the gun just sits perfectly in your hand, very secure, and sights come to a perfect natural allignment. the Trigger though takes a bit to get used to though, but it can be very accurate.
