What does /k/ think of Auto 5 clones?
Grandad died and left me his guns. Remington model 11 here, will post others if there's interest.
Side question, what's the best way to cut the tube plug off?

Keep inserting shells/cutting plug until it holds the desired amount. Or just remove it.

Recoil operated is kind of fun, it'll give you a good solid thump but they don't "kick" quite the same as a pump. Make sure you study up on the friction rings, aND if you ever need/want a different barrel, find a legit Remington barrel. Aftermarket barrels are shit quality and tend to warp in the receiver and are then useless. I have my Grandpas as well. Nice get OP.

And yeah, post the others if you want dude.

Thanks for the tip.
I found a diagram for the friction rings on the inside of the foregrip, He had it set to the larger load setting, probably for slugs I guess. Funny because it has a poly-choke installed. Maybe he forgot to set it back to normal load?

I can't see the tip of the barrel, is it an internal or external choke? And larger loads include things like turkey and Goose loads which would explain the choke.

Appears to be internal. The part on the left screws into a thread installed on the muzzle, and you can select the type of choke you want by rotating it.

Probably set up for turkey and waterfowl loads then

Cool, good to know. I'm kind of new to guns, so I appreciate the help.
Auto-5 clones are pretty neat. Here's my Winchester 1911 S.L. aka "Widowmaker"

I can't believe they couldn't come up with any better method of charging the gun.they could have used the forend for that
