That said, I have gotten some outstanding deals by buying large lots of guns, and then turning around and selling the ones I didn't want for a decent profit which effectively paid for the ones I wanted to keep. Yeah, what was on the govt issue XM177s had something kind of like baffles in it but the ATF considers it a suppressor despite it lowering the sound by like 4 decibels, so this one is just a hollow cavity.

I hate to say it as an AK guy, but if someone asked me what gun should I get if I only wanted one then i'd tell him to build an AR. If he said that's too expensive, i'd tell him buy a piece at a time so the costs don't hit you like a brick. One paycheck decide to buy the upper, next buy the lower or any way you want to do it and you can build it how you want it.

I've been thinking about a PTR for a bit, I actually snagged a bunch of mags a while back, but then I built an AR-10 instead. Now I have mags but no gun.

Honestly though, with how often these things break and how rare the spare parts are, having two is probably the only way to keep at least one going if you shoot them often.
It's the main reason I passed on at least four of these even though I'm a sucker for iconic firearms.

Having two isn't really a necessity anymore since the dude who runs the spas 12 project has dumped an absolutely retarded amount of love into the guns and sells replacement/reproduction parts of all variety nowadays.

I just wanted one with a functional button safety and one with M2 to fire both barrels.
