Someone put an NDM-86 ($6,000) and a Tigr ($4,500) up for sale on consignment at my LGS. Are either of these worth the price? I was about to drop ~$5,000 on a SCAR 17s and a Kahles K16i but these look like a pretty neat alternative
>>
>>33772002
both have incredible collector value, and they are both made by norinco, so yeah they do are worth this much

BUT

tigr is still available quite widely in the EU ( one italian /k/ ommando showed one for 800€ only ), the NDM is not produced anymore and is rare as fuck even in EU
>>
>>33772047
Got it. Would the NDM-86 being chambered in 7.62x51 affect its value negatively at all?
>>
>>33772002
SCARs are still in production. SVDs will probably never be imported again. So would you rather have something rare and awesome or something common but practical.
>>
>>33772047
Tigrs arent made by norinco are they?
>>
>>33772091
it was both made in x54r and x51 so no decrease in value at all

>>33772149
apparently i was wrong, tigr are acutally made by izmash, but they not military models ( named SVD-S )
>>
How much is that FNC going for?
>>
>>33772002
Go for that rifle on the right, with its sick ass paint job you'll be the envy of everyone at the range.

But seriously, both the other two look very cool op.
>>
>>33772191
$4,000. They have a pretty high consignment fee though so I could probably get it for $3,200-$3,500 if I went through the owner directly
>>
>>33772310
The couple semi FNCs I can find on armslist and gunbroker are listed at about 3.1 to 3.5k. So that sounds reasonable I guess. I had never actually looked at the prices/avaiablility of them before and didn't expect them to be so rare or expensive.
>>
>>33772002
How would the accuracy of that NDM be with match ammunition? 1 MOA?
>>
>>33772002
Get the bolt gun with the atlas.
>>
>>33772002
Both of them will only go up in value, and that's not a terrible price for the tigr. I would get them given the chance.
>>
>>33772002
for shooting or collecting? If shooting, then a scar will be better, it's not an SVD, for the price of an SVD you really aren't getting anything a scar won't give you. If you're going for something neat, then an SVD might be better.
>>
>>33772881
any SDV or SDV clone are 2 MOA or so... MAC has a video on it comparing two SDV clones to a VEPR.
>>

lold

The 17S topped with a k16i is pretty much as good as it gets and it's still in production. In the end, you're going to shoot the SCAR way more often than you would the NDM or Tigr.

Figure out if that makes a difference for you and go from there.
>>
Get either one. Both are essentially the same rifle minus a few cosmetic and machining changes which are indiscernable when shooting

The NDM-86 is going to be better from a collectability standpoint, so if you have the means I highly suggest picking that one up.

All Dragunovs have about 1.5-2.0 MOA accuracy, and aren't meant for super-accurate competition shooting.
>>
>>33772002
Dude get the Tigr and do the SVD conversion. SCARs are still in current production but we will likely never see either the Tigr or that Norinco ever again. You'd be a fool not to get one.

>>33772002
Honestly they both look like good choices, me personally i would go with the fullsize NDM-86 with the sexy wood furniture and longer barrel but the Tigr would be just as good.
>>
What my canadian ass wouldn't give to be able to get either one of these.
I'd literally get a bank loan if need be.
>>
>>33772881
From what i've read from from first hand writers, the SVD floats around 1.5 MOA any given day.
>>
>>33772191
This. Fuck that other shit gimme dat FNC.

SCAR with K16i is based as fuck though
>>
>>33774619
Heard the 17s beats up optics. Would that Kahles last?
>>
>>33775328
