Hey /k/
Just went through the godawful licensing process in New York and I've got about 5k to spend.
Any handgun suggestions? I'm thinking of either the FN Five-SeveN or getting a Genuine Luger, but i'd love to hear what you guys suggest as well

>Five-SeveN when you can't even own standard capacity mags
besides it doesn't even seem like a fun gun to shoot anyway, get something like a .40 or .45 service pistol and I guess you could easily also afford a Luger with that budget?

get a .44 deagle or automag, when they only let you have small mags buy big guns.

The Five Seven is really not worth your time given that you can only have 10rd mags, the concept is wasted.
Instead get a nice high end 1911 or something (not Kimber), if in 9mm you can easily fit 10rds flush in a slim and comfy grip, while having very little recoil.
SVI, Ed Brown, Wilson Combat and Dan Wesson are all nicer end brands. Again, NOT Kimber.
Then go get yourself a Mini-14 or an Ares/FiteLite SCR because it's good to have a rifle with detachable magazines.

A Luger is fine, but you'll be paying lots for one in good condition, and personally I'd almost feel guilty shooting a mint condition original, I'd look for an expertly refurbished example.

BRNO Field Pistol. Your dick will be permaboner.

They're looking at $7500 right now and the price keeps climbing.

I second this
>>33748657
the price keeps climbing every time some autist posts bait on /k/ yeah

Except the price has actually risen over time.

Still in the process but have a list including an 8 shot 357 likely s&w, 10mm not sure which but wtf not, 44 mag ruger, and something cc in 9mm

>besides it doesn't even seem like a fun gun to shoot anyway
it's fun as shit to shoot, even if it does feel a bit like a toy

>The Five Seven is really not worth your time given that you can only have 10rd mags,
this is also true.
if you can find a place to try one, shoot a colt saa or one if its copies.
there's something really visceral and enjoyable about loading/shooting/unloading them to me
I'd reccomend finding a S&W M&P Shield, Performance Center. It's fantastic as a concealed carry gun and the trigger on it is amazing.
>Genuine Luger
I'm not familiar with that manufacturer. Mine's made by DWM.
Anyway, you have magazine capacity limitations anyway, so why not a large caliber handgun?
