why are bullpups so dogshit on accuracy?
is it because everything is so far from the controls it's just inherently imprecise, or what?
the only bullpup with nice accuracy I can think of is the wa2000

>>
>>33735496
There are several bullpup marksman's rifles with better mechanical accuracy than the WA2000
In fact, the WA2000 is pretty mediocre by modern standards
There's nothing inherent to bullpup layout which makes them mechanically worse, though your note on controls is true - you'll never have a trigger on a bullpup as good as one on a conventional
There is one possible way around that though, which has yet to be tried - electric primers and trigger. No need for a transfer bar, no mechanical force to overcome, just close the circuit and boom. Not a popular idea though.

They fixed the issues on later batches. It's around 2 moa now. You can tell if it's a fixed one if it has 2 ejectors on the bolt instead of 1. Apparently some people mentioned they had iwi fix their issues after sending them in.

I have a fixed one so when people were complaining i thought it was weird since accuracy didn't seem that bad to me. Not as good as my ar but still pretty decent. Found out later iwi had the aforementioned fixes.

I have the SAR and it's a good, reliable gun. If I had to rate it, I'd rate it 7/10 (8/10 if you like bullpups). I can't hate on it, but I can't exactly sing its praises either. It's just...boring.
>>
>>33738649
VT over NH. Have about the same laws but *slightly* better schooling up there
>>
>>33739148
Sure is, I suppose I should say with match ammo you will get 1moa out of the box
>>
The accuracy is a non-issue anymore. Apparently the crowns werent correct. People with older rifle can send them back to IWI to get them recrowned.
Any current rifle will shoot just fine. X95 are recorded to shoot =<2 MOA depending on ammo.

The accuracy meme still persists because current owners dont have the problems and IWI didnt make a big deal out of getting them fixed.
>>
>>33739430
The RDB doesn't really have anything over an AUG except being ambi right out of the box.

Those are the early production models. Allegedly.

It was meant to have a 1:7 twist but they shipped the early ones, including the pre-production review samples, had a 1:9 twist. Their website lists it as 1:7 and as far as I know the ones being turned out right now are 1:7.

I've had my tavor since December 2014. Never ever fte/ftf. It handles so well, perfectly easy to manipulate. Accuracy is decent. I'm easily getting 2-3moa benched depending on ammo. I did install tav d trigger and it made all the difference in accuracy for me although I didn't mind the stock trigger at all. Only other thing I have is aimpont t2 on it.
I am qualified to state these ireffutable facts as I actually own it. Now unless you can post a time stamp of your tavor then you and others are just silly memesters, bashing that which you inexplicably hate for no reason or hating because you can't afford it
>>
>>33740838

>>
>>33741192

the tavor is just as bad as the x95. There is literally no difference between the barrel mounting design or action design.
>>
>>33741192
They are almost identical, of course you wouldn't know as you never held one.
>>33741250
Why is it bad? How come it was never bad for me and why I am able to pop soda cans at 100 yards consistently with only an aimpoint T2
>>
>>33741287
So identical that everyone with an X95 reports 4-5MOA accuracy vs 2-3 SAR accuracy.
>>
>>33741313
I haven't shot x95, I meant internals and basic design features make it a smaller compacter lighter version of tavor. I have no intention of getting x95 because tavor to me looks million times better from purely aesthetically point of view, without even going into function
>>

Would love to give one of those a try. Also worth noting, if we electrically set off primers, does that mean we can move the primer to be between the powder and the bullet? In the black powder days, it was said that was the best place to touch off a primer because then the black powder would burn "front to back", which means all the explosive force is just pushing the bullet. If you burn "back to front", like all modern cartridges, then you're pushing the yet-to-be-burned powder and still burning gasses and the bullet, and it also means muzzle flash because powder burns all through the barrel right out the end of it.
