Most guns that shoot multiple calibers dont do so as well as a gun that shoots only one. Obviously you will always have a give and take relationship with these multi caliber guns. The judge/govnr is no exception, yes it shoots 45LC but due to its short barrel and shallow rifling (i think)it wont be as accurate or as effective at range as out of say a single action with a long barrel. Same with .410, the spread wont be as consistent as a full sized shoty. To me the judge seems like a very fun gun to just pepper shit using different types of rounds. So if you are looking for a fun gun, the judge is a decent choice. The gun also accomplishes what it sets out to do being a versitle gun for use in CLOSE RANGE situations. Alot of ammo manufacturers now make ammo soecificly for these types of guns so get that. For self defence you will want 000buck, winchester makes a good round too, Pdx i believe it is called. The. balistics have show that these rounds can do serious damage.

Personaly i think it makes a decent night stand gun and a fun gun to just enjoy by peppering tagets with # 4shot. If you have the money and aknowledge these issues and still want it, go for it. If u really want a more premium one get the governor, it has 6 cylinders and the ability to shoot 45acp w/ moonclips.

theres no .410 shot load worth carrying for SD/HD.

the danm thing is huge for a ccw in .45lc

other than being fun, or having it as a boat/trail gun, its useless. save your money and buy something that was purpose built.

Because outside of about 5 feet it's worthless. So the whole selling point of the gun being it can also shoot shotgun shells means it's worthless and you should just get a regular handgun.

I'm shooting 8 and 6 shot from single shot 410's pistols only to reload 38cal ball back into em.

I'm not sure if the drop of unique I use would work in a judge especially a poly. But It will drop a bitch in my M-57's
