I went to the Air Force Museum at Wright Patt yesterday for the 75th anniversary of the Doolittle Raid. It was pretty awesome.
In honor of that, let's have a WWII plane thread.
I'll post some of the pics I took.
Dat gun
If anyone wants any of these in higher definition, let me know. Apparently zuckerbook makes them pretty small. The full res ones are on my computer at home.
That's all I've got for now. I'll post some of the museum stuff when I'm off work.

It looks like you had far fewer people there too. That would have been nice.
Were they taking off and landing at Dayton? Mine they were doing rides and such.

Nikon D5100 with a Nikkor 55-300mm. Nothing particularly fancy. The closer shots are using a Nikkor 12-24mm.
The AF museum at Wright Patt is awesome. I need to go back up there sometime.

The facebook ones were really small and shitty, I'll post all 10 in full res.
That's all I've got, unfortunately.

Thank you anon. You should come over to PA for the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum's WWII Weekend this June.

I would, but I'm gonna be visiting the Firearms Museum in Cody during that period. Thanks for the heads up though, I'll try to catch it next year.
