Why doesn't /k/ seem to like blacl powder? Can we get a black powder thread?
pic related, my Ruger Old Army
Wet powder?
Because /k/ doesn't like blacks or their powder
I use 35 grains of Goex black powder (fuck that synthetic shit) behind a Hornady .458 ball and CCI #10 caps. Out of my Ruger Old Army it has similar ballistic performance to a 124 9mm fmj from a 5 inch barrel. Pretty impressive for such old fucking technology.
I just love the idea that I can own and carry a gun that has no federal laws or regulations attached to it. I could package it and ship it to somebody from the post office if i want. Plus you can make prumer caps from soda can and black powder from hardware store chemicals. It's like the ultimate post-apocalyptic shtf gun. I've been trying to find one of those stocks you can attach to old black powder guns to make it an sbr. Again, no federal regulations so why the fuck not?

You can do this with any firearm. Believe it or not, you don't have to tell the government what you do.

I do, Werndls, Muratas, Beaumonts, Vetterlis, Krapotchaks, Martinis, Gras, Dryses, those kinds of thing intrigue me. Would love a Remington lee in 43 spanish
I wish guns still looked this classy

Not familiar with all of those but Martinis are amazing.

Mostly single shot (though there are absolutly exceptions) blackpowder metallic cartridge rifles that were around from about 1860s to a little while after smokeless came around
