Would a 10.5in SBR be a good SHTF gun? After watching Blood Diamond and Black Hawk Down, I really want to do one of those sexy SBR A2 carbines.

Thats not an A2 its an XM177 variant

Seems it's an XM177, but with an A2 upper and a 10in barrel (which is why the comp/dissipator sits flush all sexy-like).
>Good
No
>Acceptable
Yes
It'll kill game and people, but dont expect your groupings at 200 yards to be anything spectacular. Id recommend 14.5 for actual practical use, but the heart want what the heart wants.

I don't really expect to have to shoot far anyway. Ideally not at all. Either I'd bunker in my house, or at my chosen spot (neither have long sightlines anyway).

A longer barrel doesn't improve accuracy, only velocity. A 10.5" will be able to hit just fine all the way to the limit of the round. Terminal ballistics will not be good past 100m tho.

they'd be fine, just not packing as much of a punch.

>mfw I'll never operate in Angola alongside Eeben Barlow

Wait, what's with that muzzle device? The light is clamped under the front sight, but that muzzle device looks like it just smoothly transitions into the sight.

See, that's a bit different from the OP, barrel wise.
>But oh muh dick, that '90s Operator vibe
>>33668253
And let's be honest-depending on your environment, you may not even need to shoot that far, meaning an SBR would be fine.

>Tfw no full-giggle jungle SBR

If a bullets moving faster it spends less time in the air exposed to various atmospheric conditions, especially wind
