If we are serious about the re-institution of Rhodesia. It'd have to be along the lines of a modern crusade. If history has taught us anything; it's that nothing is impossible. An invasion would be difficult, not impossible. It'd be disastrous to get locked into a war of attrition which would happen eventually if we conducted conventional war. Guerilla war would also be difficult due to hostility of populace; no matter how much we promise a better life for their children, I highly doubt Zimbabweans would fight for Rhodesia. A French soldier of fortune named Bob Denard recruited 43 French mercenaries and seized the Comoros Islands back in the 70s despite the native forces having a several thousand man army. Zimbabwe would be much tougher. You would need maybe 5,000 well trained, equipped and supplied men to take it back. And then you would have to deal with the international community's boycotts, ostracism, etc. Just leave it. Africa is for Africans. The white settlers need to leave.
