I know this is bait but I don't really agree. I live my AK and it's by far my favorite gun to shoot. I find it very enjoyable. I would probably choose it for a SHTF situation.

But in any other human combat scenario, permitting that your weapon can be cleaned/maintained semi-regularly, the AR is superior. It's lighter, more accurate, and plenty reliable.

I find the AR to be soulless and boring. Just a good tool that does what you want with no interest and excitement. But it would be foolish to ignore the best tool for the job just because it isn't fun.
