Agreed. If shit came down hard, I'd roll out with a .308. Any engagement I'm likely to partake in will include trying to get effective hits in a relatively short engagement, much less likely suppressing anybody or anything where I'd appreciate quantity over quality of projectiles. .308 also is more useful against vehicles and cover, and even shitty M80 has very usable terminal ballistics, unlike the m855 or M193 that you've been stockpiling. Plus range is a welcome tool to be able to problem solve with, and .308 was still on the shelves during the ammo shortages. Plus, my LMT, M1A, and buddy's SCAR are all easier to shoot than a typically-overgassed AR.
