Would this armorslayer really practical?

If so, would it cut through armor?
>>
yes. it would practical if you armor cut fast. dont try thog to cut on metals. i am cut the sword cut armorslayer so i kno what
>>
>>33633531
No and no
>>
>>33633531
I can't see how this would cut through armor at all so no.
Negatory and no.
If you really want to deal with armor you need a mace, club, or a spear and enough skill to stab through plating gaps. Mordhau techniques work in a pinch.
>>
>>33633610
>>33633556
wrong. you have the cuts on multiple accounts that make the armor cut ok. why do you not think so
>>
>>33633610
Axes, picks and warhammers, too. Let's not forget poleaxes and such.

But yeah. To defeat armour, you strike where it isn't.

Forgot all about those for some reason, thanks.
So basically yeah OP, there's plenty of ways to defeat armor. But that oversized heavy sword really doesn't seem like one of them unless they do some cop-out "it's enchanted we don't gotta explain shit" deal.

I really don't get what you're trying to say here. What does 'its a simple cut for armor' mean?
If you're trying to say that it'll cut through armor then that's bullshit. Armor is incredibly hard to cut through considering its main purpose is to prevent that. The extra mass doesn't help because there's no way a human swinging that would be able to put out enough force to cut through plate.

I know of swords shaped like that but it's my understanding that they were generally smaller and used against unarmored opponents because much of Africa didn't really into armor.

>would it cut through armor?

No.

However, it could probably penetrate mail if you got a good strike in with one of those points, but I don't think those points are long/thin enough to get through a gambeson so whatevs. This is FE anyways, and vidya & anime people tend to be stronger in general than real people even if they're portrayed as regular dudes who train a lot.

Ganondorf once had a sword like that and that motherfucker could probably cut through some armor but, again, vidya person. Furthermore, vidya person with the triforce of power.

I always like it when boards besides /pol/ are curious about weapons and actually ask questions. Considering I know precisely jack shit about medieval warfare I'm just gonna assume these anons kind of know what they're talking about.
>>
Depends what kind of armour. Would it cut through linen or paper armour? Most likely. Could it cut through maille? Maybe, but it would probably still kill you if it didn't from the sheer weight. Could it cut through anything brigandine-tier or better? Doubt it. The tips might pierce thinner plate, but the padding underneath should prevent it from doing serious damage, since the points are quite wide rather than narrow.
