Outside of weight, is there any drawback to the PPK as a concealed carry gun compared to modern guns like the Glock 42?
Rust?
Hammer can snag, sights are small, DA pull (debateable), lower parts longevity, more cleaning and lubrication dependent, bulkier, finish not as durable, slide-mounted safety is a bad location, straight blowback recoil impulse is different than tilting barrel - may be more jarring

>Hammer can snag,
Not an arguement
>sights are small,
Maybe if you're a 70 year old with macular degeneration
>DA pull (debateable),
>hurrr
>lower parts longevity,
Proofs?
>more cleaning and lubrication dependent,
Yeah, it's almost like quality firearms require you not to be a dirt eating faggot
>bulkier,
At least it's not top heavy as fuck
>finish not as durable,
But it looks far better
>slide-mounted safety is a bad location,
>hurr
>straight blowback recoil impulse is different than tilting barrel - may be more jarring
>it's different therefore bad
Take your top heavy plastic gun with no sights and shove them up your ass.

Not really. They are more accurate, have much better triggers, and are way more aesthetic. Bond/10.

>But it looks far better
This. It's important. In 50 years the PPK will still not look like a brick.

>hammer can snag
>not an argument
>more maintenance dependent = better
>slide safety
>hurr
Are you actually a glockfag in disguise, trying to discredit ppk supporters by pretending to be so triggered that you lose objectivity?
>>33618226
>have much better triggers
They do?
That's pretty important in a tiny gun like this.
Also, the higher weight of the PPK can be an advantage in terms of recoil.
>>33617969
How is that pull a bad thing
It's gotta be better than any striker fired
>>33617942
Outside of weight? Size. It's thinner and shorter.
If I were selecting a gun for deep carry, I would choose the glock for those advantages alone. If it weren't for the size and weight issues, I would prefer the PPK.

My friend just got one and I shot it a few hours ago. It snaps a bit, but it's accurate and pretty fun to shoot. It made the Glock 43 I shot afterwards feel kinda shit.

>It's thinner and shorter.
The difference in size is absolutely minimal though.
And it definitely looks like the PPK has less blocky contours (the muzzle area in particular), which is important to prevent printing.
>>33617969
>straight blowback recoil impulse is different
No, the ***impact*** is different. The *impulse* is required by universal law to be the same.

Please don't reproduced.
