What is /k/'s favorite deer hunting rifle?
Conversely, what would say is the best cheap rifle/cheap ammo combo to get someone started on?
pic unrelated.
10/22 for both

You're shootin' deer with a ,22? How close are ya.

100-150 yards on average. I just pump 8-10 rounds into the gut in rapid succession and then wait for them to die. Good way to practice tracking.

That's some unethical shit. You're the reason this country needs psych checks.

>don't kill them like that!
>kill them like this!
>they don't die either way, it's definitely different
I bet you're the same type of faggot who believes in "war crimes" and "rules of engagement"
I use a Remington 710 in .243 Win, it's a decent gun. .243 is a good starter caliber since the recoil isn't that bad and it still kills consistently. 710s are discontinued but you can find them on gunbroker for under $300, and they come with a Bushnell scope from the factory.
If you wanna go cheap, get a mosin
Remington 788 in .243 for scopegun.
Winchester Model 55 in .32WCS for non-scopegun.
My favorite is my Lee-Enfield but if your sampling for suggestions look at the Savage Axis II line. It's the equivalent of pay 2 win of basic hunting rifles.

>Favourite
Winchester Model 70. Caliber... whatever really, I like .30-06 because I hunt bigger stuff too. .243 & bigger.
>Good and cheap
Ruger American, or save a little more for a Savage 11/111. Try to find a used gun to save $ - most people don't use guns like this very hard before they sell them.

It's not 1990 anymore my man.

anything from HOWA will give you a high quality rifle for a reasonable to cheap price
