How is that untrue? You couldn't contrive a method of dropping a Glock to successfully actuate the trigger without a human involved.

It takes human action to actuate the trigger, even if that human action is blindly holstering a Glock inside a floppy, worn out holster one time in the history of planet Earth.

way to set up a narrow argument. pretty sure most people are worried about an item depressing the trigger such as the hem of a slightly baggy shirt that gets sucked into the holster while reholstering. that or a worn holster edge or perhaps even your finger if you're under a high amount of stress and attempt to reholster the firearm and leave your finger in the trigger guard. the point of a safety is it keeps a gun from firing even if the trigger is pressed.

You're not the only one, but the thing about finger grooves is by design they only fit some hands. Also Glock inexplicably spaces them different on their full/compact/subcompact guns so even if one size fits someone there's no guarantee the other will.

No, Glock had to delve in and detail all the basic passive design features that keep the gun from firing unless the trigger is pulled because people flipped out in the 80s at a gun with "no safety" and a 5.5lb trigger

>>33602249
A normal press check shouldn't cause any setback because you shouldn't be drawing the slide back to much the cartridge has to feed again. Pulling it out of the chamber enough to see the casing isn't going to cause setback.

Plus, setback isn't nearly as big as issue as people on the internet make it out to be.

Yes, because most people aren't complete retards and can

a) keep their fingers off the trigger
b) unload the fucking gun before cleaning
>>
>>33600710
I don't think the ever bothered with the sights since everyone either settles or replaces them immediately so why bother with the extra cost.

As for the sight configuration, it's super common and makes a lot of sense from a visibility standpoint. Nothing a punch for a sharpie can't fix. They were good enough for the python

They can also use a less accident prone design that undoubtedly has a better trigger and ergonomics, and gives nothing up in the way of reliability.

Tough choice, right there.
>>

Yeah I can see why you'd believe that if you walk around with your finger on the trigger like an illiterate slav conscript
>>
>>33603355
>options you mentioned are much more expensive when Glock USA accepts old police guns for a fair market price trade-in and sells Glocks at $250-$350 a pop for large agency contracts.

It comes down to $$$$$ and how inexpensive it is to put LE rangemasters and armorers through the Armorer's School. Glock gives each department two free armorer's class slots while Beretta and Sig charge money.
>>
>>33602223
>Am I the only one who finds them comfy?
on a glock, no. but they're generally pretty specific to hand shape. You should try holding a polymer-frame Jericho and see just how jarring the difference is

Just don't pull the trigger if you haven't verified it's clear unless you want it to go bang ya dingus.
