The Vickers MMG is.

SMLE is the best bolt action rifle ever issued, but the Vickers is the greatest weapon ever made by anyone. It's beautifully made. There is nothing out there as reliable, nothing, and there's nothing surplus to requirements. Other weapons have flaws or bits that aren't really necessary, but the Vickers doesn't. There really is nothing wrong with it.
