Yeah PKM rounds are hotter loads and repeated use can break the receiver. WW2 era Mosin Nagant silver tip is fine.

If it's a factory build from cugir, it should be fine. Do the basics of making sure the sights line up, bore is nice looking, and things are not rusted out inside.
Preferably, the scope should come with the rubber eye pieces at both ends like the picture too.

Just the scope and sling, not much you need past that.

And remember. ONLY use ammo that is 150gr weight bullets or less. And if you are having accuracy issues, change ammo brand/surplus because some may work significantly better than others. Mine loves russian surplus and 150gr commercial from LVE plant, but hates romanian ammo. That's basically only good for mud busting, not targets.
