I would take most of that pin on junk off.

Top 3 medals only and you wear the full medal with the dangling bit.

No shooting qualification badge unless perfect score.

Instead of branch pins on lapel, sew embroidery patches. Patch is in branch color. Design and color of embroidery tells rank and mos/branch schools graduated. Officers get gold thread and enlisted silver. The more complicated the design the higher the branch school graduated. So ait or osut would be a simple design. Then the first mos specific nco school would make it more complex. Then the next nco branch school even more complex.

Sam brown belts. Officer belts have shiny brass hardware, chrome for warrants and black subdued for enlisted. Mp get white leather, everyone else black leather.

No unit awards. No badge for drill Sgt or recruiter un less doing that job currently. No deployment unit badge.

No jump wings, air assault badge, scuba, infantry, etc unless did that thing in combat area.

All shoulder cords worn on the right shoulder.

No more black berets. Adopt a French style kepi for enlisted. Keep peaked caps for warrants and officers. No more girl spacific hats.

No more patent leather dress shoes. You don't have to get that high gloss spit polish. Just polish your shoes competently.

Double breasted overcoat. Shiny brass for officers, subdued buttons for enlsited. Embroidered button holes. Rank on the sleeves for enlisted and epaulets for the officers.

For whatever reason the Army has always had this extra special need to make their people look extra extra special with an African fuck ton of uniform devices that mostly mean nothing. And the end result is it just looks like absolute garbage. It look a lot like what those stolen valor twats end up parading around in. Meanwhile the USMC has kept their Dress Blues and uniforms in general simple. Ribbons, rank, hash marks, and shooting badges are all that should ever go on a dress uniform.

The Marines have so many fucking uniforms. For a branch that drills "Im a Marine and only a Marine" they sure do have plenty of fuckin useless uniforms. For 1833 they have "Boat Cloaks" if you're a SNCO. Do they really need four variants of dress blues (Alpha Bravo Charlie's and Deltas)? Thens there's chucks, long sleeve chucks, chucks with dress shirt chucks without dress shirt, wooly pully. Jesus the list goes on. They solely exist so some snco can come tell you that you're wearing it wrong.
