They were nicknamed Droop Snoots. I may have one saved somewhere in here. Might be a minute before i find it.

Whelp, the female spousal unit has just implied, STRONGLY, that if the grass is not mowed by suppertime, there will be no sexytimes later this evening. And while I am generally confident in my ability to persuade her otherwise, I really do need to mow the fucking yard. So if this thread is still up, I'll be back later this evening. Please feel free to contribute. I can always start another if need be. In fact, considering the stuff I have saved, that's a given.

Maybe, but she's the one that likes to be spanked. I'll post more later after she's asleep. I work nights this week and she has to be at work by seven. In the meantime she's giving me a come hither look. So I'll be along later.

What can I say? This one does it for me and has for twenty five years. Besides, The daughter and son in law came by for dinner, the good whiskey got broken out and the wife got liquored up enough to be adventurous once we ran the kiddies off, but not too drunk to enjoy it. She's spanked, fucked silly and put to bed and I need to stay up for awhile to switch back to night shift. so, back after it, /k/omrades.

A lot of Mustang owners replace the giant tube radio with a much smaller modern radio, which leaves room for a second seat. The larger canopy is an aftermarket item to make headroom for the second seater.

Any reason why this landing went so bad? I don't know shit about planes so sorry if it's obvious.
>>33594115
>>33594117
I've been told the torque from the props could make landings a bitch
>>33594117
"Ground loop" means the pilot fucked up. One wing went high, the other went low and dug into the runway. It's understandable on a grassy or muddy field. Not so much on tarmac.
>>33594133
Torque usually comes into play on takeoffs when full power is being applied. landing should be at a fairly low throttle setting.

Well it looks like a fairly undamaging crash landing for how it landed. Unless it flipped over soon after the picture was taken.

Don't give me a P-38
With props that counter rotate
She'll stall, and she'll spin
And she'll soon auger in
Don't give me a a P-38 -Anonymous
The P-38 was an awesome machine and with a 400mph+ top speed, the range and bomb carrying capacity of a medium bomber and four massed M2 .50 Machine guns in the nose as well as a 20mm cannon. It's speed, range and carrying capacity were due to it's turbo supercharged Allison engines which featured props that were geared to rotate in opposite directions. This cancelled the engine torque most single engine fighters experienced on full powered takeoffs. Unless the P-38 lost an engine on takeoff at full power. An experienced pilot could throttle the remaining engine back to idle, if he had the altitude and gradually re apply power. Most pilots didn't have the experience, and the torque from the remaining engine at full throttle flipped Lightning onto her back where she promptly slammed into the ground. a restored P-38 was lost this way in the 1990's.
>>33594432
No, I think it stuck like that, luckily, for both the pilot and aircraft.
>>33594435
Thanks. Was looking through saved photos and realized I've been saving stuff from /k/ since probably '04 or so. Figured there were a lot of people who hadn't seen some of this.
