Ehh. Self defence is tricky in bongland. While SD is obviously legal as is preemptive striking you cant carry anything specifically to use in defence.

So you are stuck improvising every day objects. A big maglite torch, hold a lighter in your fist, car keys through the fingers, a sturdy pen. If you are in the countryside you can try carry a lock knife as you are less likely to get searched by the police.

Best defence as ever is to avoid shit places and shit people.

While at home: Has to be something that wasn't kept for self defense(ex bat if you play baseball/cricket or kitchen knife), has to not be disallowed by other weapons laws, and must only be used if you both cant escape and the use of force is proportional. EX if a gang of unarmed teenagers break in you couldnt hit them with a bat if they attacked you unless they used a weapon to do so.
