What's another good, cheap long rifle aside from.

As much as I hate to agree, this faggot is right. You can buy or build a cheap AR for not much more than an SKS (and cheaper than some variants) and it's a superior platform. You can CERTAINLY get into an AR cheaper than you can an AK in this retarded AK market.
But for cheap surplus guns look into off-brand Mausers. I'm talking about Yugos, Czechs, Turkish and Spanish Mausers. They're the best value in milsurp arms right now. And better than any nugget.

>he didn't stack them deep when they were under $150
More like when they were $40.
>>33570335
Gonna join the bandwagon and say build a cheap AR. The beautiful thing about them is that once you do get more money, you can upgrade it to whatever fancy specifications you need/want.
That being said, stuff like the SKS and Yugo Mauser hold a special place in my heart due to them being my first guns.
Sometimes I see m1 carbines for 400-500
Pistol caliber carbines are readily available too.
God mode: What's a good, cheap long rifle that is also legal in California?

You trying to get OP killed?
If you're just looking for an innawoods rifle, there are some pretty decent bolt action rifles out there. Savage, Mossberg and Marlin all do an entry level rifle that isn't really any more expensive than what I see SKSes going for these days.
>>33570695
Then get an SKS? Is this even a question? Isnt the going rate for one in leafland two dollars and a bottle of syrup or something stupid cheap?
>>33570335
Yugo Mauser, savage arms axis 2 and .22s are the cheapest in the game.
>>33570335
>I'm way too poor for an AK or vz58

Clearly they are if people keep buying them. Just wait till they're $400+.

Snag an Anderson blemished lower, about the cheapest aluminum lower you're gonna find. 80% lowers are cheaper, but the tools you'll have to buy to finish them out will offset your saving about 10 fold.
Then, over the course of a year or so, carefully assemble your AR bit by bit taking advantage of sales and holidays.
But, DESU, it's cheaper and faster to buy a complete rifle from a budget company.
