8-track players have better sound quality than casets.

I remember when this thing was first unveiled. Does anyone have the infographic of all the different Garmin and Cessna parts in the cockpit?

Propaganda; the thing likely won't ever leave the ground; if it does it'll be little more than a fancy looking Cessna.

It's made of fiberglass and has an 8 track player. Kek.

Honestly that is really impressive. They managed to miniaturize the wiring and electronic subcontol units to the point you can't even see those critical parts. In the US fighter jets those parts are much larger and noticeable.

And that outer wall is so structurally sound I don't even see a reinforcing frame. I am interested in how it can handle sharp maneuvers with such a thin wall shell and no viable reinforcing frame. Their composite construction must be decade ahead of ours, as I work on that kind of stuff and never seen anything like this.

Even tiny things like how low the seat is suggests their emergency ejector seat system is less then a tenth the size of our big clunky ones, but we haven't really made many changes given how well ours have worked and safety testing those are a real pain. Just shows their long term R&D dedication to invest so much for such a revolutionary new design.

They started development when Iran was still out in the cold. Back then, they didn't really have a choice, but it sounds like this was started with the idea to train pilots on a cheap aircraft.

Plus, you gotta start your aircraft industry somewhere. Development is only a few years in, and they're probably starting from scratch with educated people, but who have no real industry experience.

With the opening up of the Iranian market and ending of various embargoes, their best engineers are probably moving over to joint European-Iranian enterprises too, because Iran is more desperate for civilian passenger aircraft than it is military aircraft.

They've been able to buy military aircraft from dirty commie countries, but half their passenger aircraft is from before the damn revolution, because all the good gear is from countries that embargoed them.

So even if they are still trying to develop it, they're probably not committing much funding or resources anymore.

>extension cord
It's plugged into the platform, to power the lights you can see around the rim, and possibly for it to spin around all fancy like.

what does that airspeed indicator read? Like 300 kts tops?

Is there any reason to have three of those EFIS things? Beyond making the dashboard look less pathetic to the uninformed.

Looks like somebody actually made a clone of Ace Combat on the Unity Engine.

I'm also interested and I usually lurk the game dev threads on /v/

That was a mockup, I don't think anything in that actually works.
>>
>>33563732
Indeed! With controls that are no more complicated than a fancy video game setup, even infants can fly those planes like a pro! Their training time and cost could be quartered, if not one fifth of what it used to be!

They're canards. I dont think that airframe would fly anyway.
