Im fucking sick of "women in the army" threads, so i want to ask a different question.

Are women better pilots?
>>
>>33555101
lol god no, women don't have the same reflexes as men. They make good caretakers though, raise mens morale, so I think they fit quite alright as nurses and medical personnel, not much else
>>
Manlets generally make the best pilots, but GeForce tolerance takes core strength. In helos and transports I don't imagine it matters much

They should make an MOS called 69F. They would be good at that.
>>
>>33555297
Women are responsible for a slightly higher number of crashes per miles compared to men, but the gap is small and more likely than not an issue with women in general having less driving experience than men, driving a few thousand miles less per year on average. This is not an issue with military pilots receiving the same level of training.

No.

Also, have you tried an EMB-110?

No. Women suck at everything, especially when they're rushed in the job for political reasons.

> The Chinese military did not provide details of the accident in Hebei province, but state-run media, citing military sources and witnesses, said Yu ejected from her aircraft after it collided with another during the training.
> After the ejection, the wing of another plane hit Yu, killing her, according to a report from China Daily.
> Yu's male co-pilot ejected safely and survived, the report said. The other jet also landed safety.

The real question is, what are the upside of forcing women in jobs most men can do better? What's the upside of that deal?
>>
>>33555101
They can't drive cars, what the fuck makes you think they can fly any better?

How many rounds are fired between tracers in that gif? Anyone know a typical number?
>>
>>33556000
Didnt realize men were better at surviving being hit by an airplane in mid air. or that your ability to withstand literally being hit my an airplane was a major factor in pilot ability.

Thanks for the hot tip, anon
>>
>>33556027
3-5? They might all be tracers though.

Even the Chinese are calling for more training for female pilots, implying she might not have had the job if she didn't have a vagina. She was a flying mascot, it killed her and could have killed even more people.

> Yu’s classmates described her death as a “shock”, with some observers calling for higher training standards for aerobatics pilots.
> Yu, born in Chengdu, Sichuan province, was one of the 35 women recruited as trainee pilots in July 2005.

The thing with women in dangerous jobs is that they're not allowed to fail for political reasons, that's when you run the risk of getting people killed.

Political correctness, aka cultural Marxism.

In my experience, no, at UPT, follow-on, and in my MWS, the girls tend to be worse both in terms of monkey skills as well as "mental" stuff like SA, decision making, aircraft command, etc.
Even with the girl-factor (in general, the air force is made up of guys, and guys like girls) the numbers coming out of UPT will show that a girl being at the top of her class is a one-in-a-million thing, and probably based as much on the dudes all being pogs as it is with her personal ability.

The only counter-argument to this is that there are a lot more guys than girls in the career field, which is true: most classes are 5-6:1 male:female, so you'd expect there to be more male outliers than females. In that case the median for males and females ought to be the same, though, and it's simply not: the girls gather in the bottom half of the class with maybe one outlier in the top 5, and the guys gather in the top half of the class, with a few outliers near the bottom.
>>
>>33556656
i mean look at c-sections and all that shit
>>
>>33557611
The girls in my class were alright, struggled at first but got a lot better vs a lot of the males in my class. Some are total fuck ups, some are pretty legit. It seems like there's no in between "average" female pilots.

Though you won't find very many female fighter pilots out there. So there's that.
>>
According to Starship Troopers yes. How much fictious this work of fiction is still pending debate.

They should've punched out as soon as they started yawing/rolling like that. Captain hindsight here.

I can see the hesitation. Nobody ever goes to fly expecting to punch out and you know there will be a huge investigation afterward. Looks like they were slow and maybe had a compressor stall trying to go around and asymmetric thrust in the F-14 at that speed would be insanely bad.

Also have heard a lot of bad things about the first USAF female fighter pilot who now is Wing Commander for fighter weapons at Nellis. From the people who have directly worked with her "she can't lead her way out of a wet paper bag."
>>
>>33557658
kek
>>
>>33560944
Wikipedia describes it pretty well.
Missed the centerlime, yaw left to compensate. Nose blocks airflow over the left wing root and into the left intake. Left engine compressor stalls and flames out. Pilot hits afterburner to try and bolter, thrust on only one engine puts the plane into a spin, RIO ejects safely but the plane was inverted by the time the pilot ejects and she's ejected head-first into the water and killed instantly.
Wikipedia also mentions that all of these issues were covered in standard training at the time, and suggests that the rush to have a female pilot before the Air Force may have lead to inadequate training.
