The lower the scope is mounted, and the closer it is to the axis of the bore of the rifle, the more likely it is to provide the consistent sight picture required for accurate long range shooting.

Get as low as possible without your scope touching any other part of the firearm other that what it's mounted to.

i loved black hawk down as a kid and i have everything for a ranger impression. I have the proper belt but i prefer the newer alice belt because it's easy to take off and put on quickly. i could probably do a pretty good impression if i felt like it.
